Promote pioneering role of foreign affairs

On June 30th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a semi-online scientific seminar with the theme "Promote the pioneering role of foreign affairs, strengthen the comprehensive and modern diplomacy, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress". The seminar was attended by the former leaders of the Party and State, representatives of the ministries and agencies, Vietnamese representative missions abroad, provinces and cities, researchers and businesses. It is a forum for discussion of the measures to effectively implement the foreign policy identified by the 13th Party Congress.

Non-Governmental Tasks in first half of 2021

In the first six months of 2021, Binh Dinh province received and implemented 19 projects and non-project aid items with the total disbursed amount of USD 983,467 (approximately VND 22,43 billion).

Binh Dinh to hold Korean Investment Promotion Conference in early August, 2021

To promote introduction of the potential and strengths of the province to the Korean investors and partners; create a new step in attracting foreign direct investment from the Korean businesses, contributing to the development of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korean in general and Binh Dinh province in particular and as agreed with H.E. Mr. Park Noh-wan, Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam in his visit to Binh Dinh province in November, 2020, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province issued Plan Ref. 59/KH-UBND dated May 12th, 2021 for organization of the Korean investment promotion conference (hereinafter called “the Conference”) in Binh Dinh province, expectedly in early August, 2021.

Online seminar on US investment opportunities in Binh Dinh

On the morning of May 13th, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee organized an online seminar on the United States investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province with the theme "Vietnam - a developing market and a strategic location for the manufacturing industries" chaired by Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The seminar was attended by the representatives of Becamex IDC Corporation, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, Becamex IDC in North America and the leaders of the relevant departments and agencies of the province. In the United States, it was attended by Mr. Denny Heck, Lieutenant Governor of Washington state; Mr. Mike Fowler, Senior Trade Consultant and Managing Director at World Trade Center Tacoma; Mr. Milton Hagler, General Director of Fluid Power & Controls Co., Ltd and about 100 US investors.

Signing an agreement on preparation of master plan of Binh Dinh province for period 2021-2020, vision to 2050

On the afternoon of May 7th, the signing ceremony of the provincial planning agreement for the period of 2021-2030, vision to 2050 between Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, FPT Corporation and McKinsey & Company Vietnam Company Limited took place at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee. Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Marco Breu - Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company Vietnam Co. Ltd and Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation signed the agreement. Consul General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City received by leader of Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of April 29th, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee received Ms. Julianne Cowley - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee. Laotian students awarded degrees by Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology

On the afternoon of April 27th, 2021, Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology organized the graduation ceremony for the Laotian students of the course 13. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Public Security, Union of Friendship Organizations and Provincial Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association. Ms. Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Rector and Mr. Pham Van Tuong , Vice Rector of the college attended the event and awarded the degrees to the students.

On the morning of April 20th, 2021, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with the delegation of embassy press attaches and permament foreign correspondents in Vietnam led by Ms. Pham Thu Hang, Deputy Director of the Press and Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Celebration held on occasion of Lao Bunpimay Festival

On the afternoon of April 14th, 2021, the Representative Board of the Laotian students at Quy Nhon University held a celebration on the occasion of the Bunpimay Traditional New Year of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The celebration was attended by the representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, departments and agencies of the province; the leaders and lecturers of the university and its faculties, departments and centers and a large number of Laotian students at the university.

On the morning of March 25th, 2021, at the headquarters of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the online meeting with Izumisano City, Japan. Binh Dinh, Becamex IDC organized online seminar on Korean investment promotion

On the morning of March 23rd, 2021, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) in coordination with Becamex IDC organized an online seminar on Korean investment promotion. The seminar was attended by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of PPC; Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC; the leader of Yongsan Office in Quy Nhon City and the leaders of the relevant agencies in Binh Dinh Province and by Mr. Sung Jang Hyun, Mayor of Yongsan District, Seoul; the representatives of Becamex IDC and Becamex Binh Dinh project office in the Republic of Korea and more than 100 Korean enterprises in the Republic of Korea.

Kurz Group to invest in Binh Dinh

On the morning of December 22nd, 2020 at the headquarters of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Phi Long had a meeting with the delegation of Kurz Group (the Federal Republic of Germany) led by Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder, member of the Management Board and Senior Vice President of Kurz Group.

On the afternoon of December 15th, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with the PNE Group representatives on the pre-feasibility study (PFS) of Binh Dinh offshore wind farm project. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Institute of Energy under Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam and the relevant departments, agencies of the province, Phu Cat and Phu My districts. VIETNAM - LAOS: EVERLASTING ATTACHMENT

In the history of the international cooperation, the special relation between Vietnam and Laos is a typical, exemplary, rare example for the tight, faithful, pure and effective attachment between the two peoples who have struggled for independence, freedom and social advances. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 02nd, 1975 - December 02nd, 2020), we look back on the special relation between the two peoples in general and between Binh Dinh province and the localities of Laos in particular for the everlasting and sustainable development in the coming time.

COMPREHENSIVE COOPERATION BETWEEN BINH DINH AND CHAMPASAK

Binh Dinh and Champasak are two sister provinces and have signed Memoranda of Understanding for comprehensive cooperation in many fields. Looking back on the past 10 years (2010-2020), we can see that the leaders and people of the two provinces have achieved many impressive results, contributing to the consolidation of the friendship cooperation relation of mutual development.

On the afternoon of December 01st, 2020, in Quy Nhon City, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Binh Dinh province organized the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the National Day of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 02nd, 1975 - December 02nd, 2020). The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, member of the Standing Bureau of the Provincial Party Committee, head of the Commission for Popularization and Education of the Provincial Party Committee and former chairman of the Vietnam -Laos Friendship Association of the province; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu, member of the Standing Bureau of the Provincial Party Committee, head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization of the Provincial Party Committee, chairwoman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the province and chairwoman of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of the province and 117 Laotian students studying in Binh Dinh province.

“Meet Japan 2020” held in Hanoi

On the afternoon of November 25th, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in coordination with the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Japanese agencies and organizations held the “Meet Japan 2020” conference in Hanoi.
