On the afternoon of March 28th, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Oku Shinya - Director of the Department of Education of Izumisano city, Japan and the delegation, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21st, 1973 - September 21st, 2023). Participating in the meeting were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
The working sessionIn 2019, the Provincial People's Committee and Izumisano City signed an agreement to establish a relationship of friendship and comprehensive cooperation for mutual understanding, friendship, and common prosperity. According to the signed document, the two sides make joint efforts for the development and cooperation in the fields of administration, culture, tourism, training, economy, and other fields based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and conformity, which obey the laws of Vietnam and Japan. The two sides strengthen and deepen mutual understanding, for the sake of friendship and prosperity... However, in 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, face-to-face meetings, and visits between the two sides face many difficulties.
By the end of 2022, when the Covid-19 pandemic situation is under control, exchanges, cooperation, and friendship activities will gradually resume. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to carry friendship activities in the coming time, such as: Sending officials from Izumisano city to work in Binh Dinh; Exchange of children's drawings at primary school level; Friendly sports matches… In addition, Binh Dinh province and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai are coordinating to seek information and promote to help Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh province and Yoshino town, Nara province, Japan to establish cooperative relations between the two localities in the near future.
Currently, Binh Dinh province has developed a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21st, 1973 - September 21st, 2023) in the province. Therefore, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang hopes that, in the coming time, Binh Dinh province and Izumisano city will continue to coordinate to implement more practical and effective cooperation activities to promote the relationship between the two provinces to a new height level.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang introduced the potentials and strengths of Binh Dinh and the priority areas the province invites for investment in the coming time. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the province identifies tourism as one of the key economic sectors in the immediate and long term, the international market that Binh Dinh aims to be Asia, especially the Japanese market. At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee invited the mayor of Izumisano city to visit Binh Dinh in the near future.

Talking with leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Oku Shinya, Director of Izumisano City Department of Education was delighted with the good cooperation results between Binh Dinh province and Izumisano city in the past time. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, exchange, and cooperation activities between the two localities were temporarily halted, but in October 2022, the delegation of Quy Nhon University visited and worked at Quy Nhon University city of Izumisano; Along with inviting athlete Pham Thi Hoc of Binh Dinh to participate in the international marathon held in Osaka. This is a positive sign that the exchange activities between the two sides are gradually resumption.
During this visit and work in Binh Dinh province, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, with the consent of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the Japanese delegation and there was a volleyball friendly match between the "MAMA-SAN" team (a team founded mainly by housewives) and the volleyball team of Binh Dinh province.
