On the morning of December 12, at the Provincial People's Committee Headquarters, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang received Mr. Enrico Padula, Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City. Also attending the reception were leaders of the departments of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade and Binh Dinh Economic Zone Administration.

In particular, tourism is identified as a spearhead economic sector with the goal of soon becoming a tourist center in the region and in Asia. Up to now, Binh Dinh province has attracted 87 projects, with a total registered capital of about 1.1 billion USD; but enterprises and partners from Italy have not yet invested any projects.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that in the coming time, Mr. Enrico Padula as a bridge will be interested in introducing and effectively connecting Italian businesses to explore investment and business cooperation opportunities in Binh Dinh. 2023 is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy and the 10th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership. Therefore, the province expects the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City to coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee to organize exchange activities between the two sides, contributing to promoting friendship and cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Italian partners.
