Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee receives the International Affairs and Workforce Commissioner of Laval Economic Development (Canada)

On the afternoon of March 10, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan met with the Laval delegation (Canada) led by Mr. Bonnet Huor - International Affairs and Workforce Commissioner of Laval Economic Development. Attending the meeting were leaders of the departments of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Economic Zone Administration and Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that Binh Dinh province has clearly defined the planning and orientation to promote development on 5 main pillars, focusing on high-tech agriculture; environmentally friendly industry; travel; port and logistics services; urban economy associated with urbanization. In particular, the province is interested in developing large economic zones and industrial parks to attract industrial development, notably Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park has a favorable location and supporting services for investors. Binh Dinh currently has 2 projects invested by Canadian enterprises, SELDAT Vietnam Co., Ltd. with a total registered capital of about 2.7 million USD. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that Mr. Bonnet Huor will be a bridge to help Binh Dinh province attract more Canadian businesses to invest in the province in the coming time.
Mr. Bonnet Huor said that through visiting Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park and some enterprises in the province, Binh Dinh province is considered to have many favorable conditions to attract businesses from Canada to invest in production and business. In his role, he will make efforts to introduce and promote Binh Dinh to attract investment to Canadian businesses and now he and his colleagues are building up a cooperation plan between Laval city and Binh Dinh province.
Chairman Pham Anh Tuan expressed his hope that after the meeting, the two sides will have more opportunities to meet and further discuss about the contents contributing to the efficiency of investment cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Laval city in the time ahead.
