New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam makes a working visit to Binh Dinh

On the afternoon of June 9th, at the Headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan received the delegation of the New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam and the New Zealand - Vietnam Health Trust led by H.E. Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam. Also attending the meeting were leaders of the departments of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Health and the provincial Vietnam - New Zealand Friendship Association.

At the reception, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan appreciated New Zealand's cooperation with Binh Dinh province in the fields of agriculture and rural development, health, education and training, trade, etc. Notably, the Sustainable Rural Livelihood Project - connecting agricultural products with markets has contributed to improving food safety for consumers, bringing healthy and environmental benefits. In addition, the health sector of Binh Dinh province is also supported by the New Zealand Government to implement many specialized technology transfer activities in the fields of Trauma, Paediatrics, Hematology and Nursing through the New Zealand - Vietnam Health Trust.
Chairman Pham Anh Tuan wished Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam to pay attention and further promote the investment and trade cooperation between the two sides as well as support to connect and introduce many New Zealand businesses to explore investment opportunities in the province.
At the meeting, Ms. Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam thanked the warm welcome of provincial leaders and departments of Binh Dinh province. Ms. Tredene Dobson was impressed with the natural beauty and hospitality of the people, and highly valued the development orientation of the province in the coming time. She hoped that she would strengthen cooperation in areas the province has strengths, especially sustainable tourism development and informed that the New Zealand Government continues to select Binh Dinh province as one of the next five provinces and cities in Vietnam to be supported to implement the Dam Safety Project, Phase 3. She is confident that in the coming time, the cooperation between New Zealand and Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh province in particular will more and more develop.
After the meeting, the delegation visited Binh Dinh General Hospital, which has been implementing many activities supported by the New Zealand - Vietnam Health Trust in the fields of Musculoskeletal Surgery, Paediatrics - Neonatal Pediatrics, Nursing Trainers, Mental Health Care, Hematology Testing Training.
