Heads of the Vietnamese representative missions abroad for the 2020-2023 term, leaders of the South Central Coastal and Central Highlands provinces meet in Binh Dinh province.

On the afternoon of July 24th 2020, in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee held an exchange of ideas and information between the Ambassadors and Consuls General of Vietnam to foreign countries for the 2020-2023 term with the leaders of the localities in the South Central Coast - Central Highlands. Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (chair), Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (co-chair); 28 Ambassadors and Consuls General of Vietnam to foreign countries; the leaders of the People's Committees together with the representatives of the relevant departments and agencies of Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Lam Dong provinces attended the event.
This occasion is an opportunity for the localities in the region to share their potential and strengths and at the same time to make specific suggestions to the Ambassadors and Consuls General. Based on the information provided and the suggestions made, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ambassadors and Consuls General will set up an action plan with the effectively practical activities to help the localities in their processs of international cooperation, taking advantage of external conditions to promote the local socio-economic development.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas representative missions of Vietnam would always function as the bridge between the localities and foreign partners and always provide support to the localities in introducing their potential, attracting investment and promoting international integration for the local socio-economic development in the coming years.
During this working visit to Binh Dinh province, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son also paid a courtesy call on Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee, paid a visit to ExploraScience Quy Nhon and the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education, hand a meeting with FLC Group's Board of Directors and offered incense and flowers at Quang Trung Museum.
