Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee receives the Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of May 6, 2025, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan met with Mr. Lehőcz Gábor - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City. Also attending the meeting were representative leaders of the departments of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Education and Training.

At the meeting, Mr. Lehőcz Gábor thanked the leaders of Binh Dinh province for the warm welcome. He emphasized, 2025 is a special year marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Hungary (1950 - 2025) and Binh Dinh is one of the localities in Viet Nam that he wants to visit many times to strengthen and promote cooperation between the two sides.
The Hungarian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City appreciated the success of the 2024 Teqball World Cup in Quy Nhon City. He hoped that Binh Dinh province would continue to pay attention to coordinating and supporting the International Teqball Federation and its partner in Viet Nam, Saigon Sports Investment Company Limited, to be able to organize more tournaments in Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh, contributing to effectively promoting and developing the sport of Teqball.
He said, Hungary annually grants 200 scholarships to Vietnamese students studying at universities in Hungary and hoped that in the near future, students from Binh Dinh would be granted scholarships, contributing to promoting and connecting cooperation between Binh Dinh and Hungary. In addition, the number of Hungarian tourists to Viet Nam has increased sharply in recent times; therefore, this will be a good opportunity for both sides to promote and develop tourism.
The Chairman expressed his support for the Hungarian Consul General's proposals to support and cooperate between Binh Dinh and Hungary in the fields of education and tourism; at the same time, he also supported the continued coordination and support for the organization of the international Teqball tournament in Quy Nhon and shared solutions to make the organization of the upcoming tournament better and create a more widespread effect.
Through the exchange, knowing that there are art troupes from Hungary coming to Viet Nam to perform in the program of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Hungary, the Chairman asked the Consul General to support the connection, convey the invitation of Binh Dinh province to these art troupes to exchange and perform in Quy Nhon city, considering this an effective way to promote culture - tourism between both sides.
At the meeting, the two sides also discussed cooperation on trade, investment, science & technology ....
