In response to the fundraising campaign to support residents of the Central and South Central regions affected by recent floods, organized by the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Osaka (Japan), Izumisano City, Japan - a locality that previously maintained a friendly cooperative relationship with Binh Dinh Province and now with Gia Lai Province - has extended timely and practical assistance to the people of Gia Lai Province in the wake of the natural disaster.
At the event, on behalf of the Izumisano City Government, Mr. Mase Michihiro, Vice Mayor of Izumisano City, presented a contribution of 1,000,000 Japanese yen (equivalent to approximately VND 172 million) from the city’s designated budget to support Gia Lai Province in addressing the consequences of the floods, thereby helping to share difficulties and encourage local residents to stabilize their lives at an early stage.

In addition to the contribution from the Izumisano City Government, Mr. Akasaka Hideki, a dispatched staff member of Izumisano City who had worked in Binh Dinh Province (now Gia Lai Province) during the period 2023–2025, also voluntarily donated 100,000 Japanese yen. Having developed a deep attachment during his time working in the locality, Mr. Akasaka Hideki expressed his heartfelt sympathy and his wish to contribute, even in a small way, to supporting the land and people with whom he had been closely connected.
