Vice Chairman Lam Hai Giang receives Deputy Consul General of China in Da Nang city
On the afternoon of March 28, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the delegation of the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang city led by Mr. Duong Thuan Phong, Deputy Consul General, paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang received the delegation. Also attending the reception were representatives of related agencies.

At the reception, Vice Chairman Lam Hai Giang expressed his pleasure to welcome the Deputy Consul General of China in Da Nang City to Binh Dinh Province. He gave an overview of the province’s potential, strengths and socio-economic development in the past time and development orientation in the coming time.
Regarding the cooperation situation between Binh Dinh province and Chinese localities and partners, now there are 96 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 1.38 billion USD; of which there are 45 projects in the economic zone (EZ) and industrial parks (IPs) with a total registered capital of 1.124 billion USD and 51 projects outside EZ and IPs with a total registered capital of 257 million USD. The province has 20 projects, with a total registered investment capital of over 229 million USD from Chinese investors, most of which have been effectively implemented. Two-way trade turnover between Binh Dinh province and Chinese market continues to maintain growth momentum in 2024. The total export value reached 230.7 million USD, an increase of 9.3% compared to 2023, while imports reached nearly 165.5 million USD, an increase of 27.2% compared to the previous year.
Mr. Lam Hai Giang hoped that the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang City would continue to promote its role as a focal point, to actively boost cooperation and friendly exchanges between Binh Dinh Province and Chinese localities and partners in the coming time. In addition to the economic field, the two sides need to expand cooperation in the fields of culture, education, health, etc. to develop and expand cooperative relations between the two sides, including youth exchanges and cooperation.
Mr. Duong Thuan Phong - Deputy Consul General of China in Da Nang city, thanked the leaders of Binh Dinh province for warm welcome for the delegation and appreciated the development efforts of Binh Dinh province in the past time. He thanked and requested Binh Dinh province to support and create favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises that were investing and would invest in the next time.
Mr. Duong Thuan Phong discussed and agreed with Vice Chairman to strengthen connections, aiming to expand cooperation activities in various fields, to organize bilateral meetings, people-to-people exchanges, and to have cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Chinese localities. In the coming time, the two sides would have specific exchanges so that Binh Dinh youth could actively participate in cooperation and exchange activities between the youth of Viet Nam and China.
